He made the remarks in a farewell meeting with outgoing Iranian ambassador to Bagdad Iraj Masjedi.
Salih appreciated Masjedi for the efforts made during his tenure in Iraq and wished success for him in his future careers.
The outgoing Iranian ambassador, for his part, reiterated Iran’s support for peace and stability in Iraq.
Masjedi began his tenure as Iran’s ambassador in Iraq in January 2017. He was recently replaced by Mohammd-Kazem Al Sadeq.
